Welcome to the 2nd Annual Arizona HS Open 5k Championship. This will be a Track 5k scored as a cross-country race.

Entries will be limited to the Top 25 AZ Cross Country Teams registered, plus the Top 35 Individual Athletes registered.

Max entries will be 210 athletes per gender.

Each gender will have up to seven 5k races broken into heats of 30 athletes. Heats will be sectioned from slow to fast based on seed times.

Race results from each heat will be combined at the end of the night to score team results.

Registration will be open from Sun, Nov 2nd – Sat, Nov 22nd.

Seed times will only be accepted from these five AZ meets (Desert Twilight, AIA Divisionals, AIA State, CAA State, and NXR).

Sunday, November 23rd, will be Selection Sunday, with entries released at 6:00 pm.

AIA & CAA Division Champions will be guaranteed a spot.

Example: AIA Division 1-4 State Champions & CAA State Champion, plus the next 20 Top Ranked Teams in the State which register will be selected.

Our selection committee will determine team rankings based on season performances and each team’s top 5 average from qualifying races.

The top 35 AZ individual entries registered will be admitted into the race.

Awards

Top Team and Runner-up plus Top 14 athletes (per gender).

Entry Fee is $100 per team (per gender), $20 per individual.
